I can tell you that when my daughter took this to church with her there was a crowd around her every time she opened it up! She loves the purse and the attention she gets when she carries it! Complete instructions and color charts are included! If you want to make a little girl really happy this is the set that will do it!
This purse measures 7×7 when completed. Made in 5×7 hoop!
Another cool thing about this purse is if a piece is lost it can be easily replaced!
Just a side note to say that the money in the set are miniatures of the Play Money set that is also available at Molly Mine. The $100 bill is included in this set but the $10 slipped into one of the photos but isn’t included. You can put your child’s photo on the money and drivers license. There is also a place on the cell phone and MP3 player for photos or character fabric.

I have let this go too long and since there are no other reviews, I want you to know what a great project this is. Yes, it can be a bit challenging at times, but the more I do, the easier it gets AND Linda is great at answering any questions immediately. This is time consuming, but more so because I’m making 2 at once and wanting to make each a little different choosing fabrics for each piece has taxed my brain. I have never done an ITH item and I find this SO MUCH FUN. I’m not done yet, but wanted everyone to know what a GREAT project this is. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!

This has to be THE BEST design set I have ever made! (I have a lot of designs – my machine runs every day). It took a bit of time to get everything done, but the results – UNBELIEVEABLY CUTE! Every detail is there – each piece has obviously been well thought out. I added personal names to the credit cards and license for an extra touch. The cell phone is my favorite! My daughter loves it! I even made one for me niece – the hit of the party! I don’t know how you can top this, but I’d love to see what it is!!!

absolutely adorable purse! I made one and am ready to start another! Sewed out beautifully and did not have any problems at all. I loved the amount of pictures on the website for me to reference back to while I worked. I used all fabrics from my stash and did not even have to purchase ore because it doesn’t take a large amount of fabric that makes it nice. This is more time than money but it is fun fun fun. I want to let you know this is a fun and great project to do. I have already completed 3 of the 5 I am making for each of my 5 grandaughters. Each one I made sure that their favorite princess (ariel, jasimine, cinderalla and even tinker bell) was appliqued on the money and cell phone. They take them everywhere they go. I also used different fabrics to give them their favorite colors. They just loved them. Linda, thanks for answering my question so quickly. I have completed one of the purses for my niece’s Christmas gift. It does take some time but WOW!! Many of my adults friends said they wanted one for themselves.
For me the biggest challenge was finding the supplies to make the mirror and the sunglasses. Oh, and picking fabric!! The sewing of the book, while time consuming, was very easy. It’s a great project. I’m working on two more at this time.

I made this purse for each of my granddaughters. They just love all the things that go with it. I found some material with dollar bills on it so used that. I found it much easier if I limited the colors to just a few rather than many. A good way to use up your scraps. I have had numerous people ask me to make one for them. This is a winner

Hi,
Just wanted you to know that I was successful in using your Molly Mine purse files! Everything stitched out perfectly and the directions were so easy to follow. Thank you for making this available. I don’t know if it will help others, but for the mirror, I went to our local sign shop and purchased a small amount of chrome vinyl that they use in making vinyl signs with a vinyl plotter. It has a slightly sticky back adhesive that I just left the backing paper on in order to give it more body and used that for my mirror. It was easy to stitch through the vinyl and the paper backing.
I have a suggestion for another project for you. Perhaps you have already considered this or have it in the making, but I thought it would be fun for the grandkids to have a Mr. Potato Head done in fabric that they could attach the pieces to with velcro. I imagine there could be copyright issues in using Mr. Potato Head-but maybe you could design something similar, even a generic head, that could include male and female hair dos, etc. It would be nice to have it in “book form” with pockets so that pieces wouldn’t be easily lost. It would be a great item to take along to church, Dr. offices etc. Anyway, just a thought in case you are needing to fill some spare time (just kidding, I’m sure anyone as creative as you are has tons of projects going).

I was also a bit intimidated to take on such an AWESOME project. I was not sure that
I could create a purse as pretty as the pictures here on this website. When making this purse and accessories, you get such satisfaction after creating each piece and it is so much fun that you cannot wait to make the next accessory. The finished purse gives you such a great feeling of accomplishment. Then when you give it to that precious little girl and watch her reaction…..PRICELESS! A treasure of a keepsake!

I included a review of this purse with my snowman review. I have sewn out this purse twice and just loved every minute of it. Each page sewed out beautifully, so well designed and digitized. My grand daughters are only 15 months and 11 months old so they won’t be allowed to play with them just yet, but I couldn’t wait so sew them. I think their mums will love them until then.

I made 4 purses for Christmas presents. The girls were 2 to 5 years old. They all loved their purses. One particular 5 year old always travels with her to her grandparents house. The parents and grandparents all love them as well. It was a lot of work to make 4 at once but well worth it. Follow the directions and don’t get overwhelmed and remember the kid’s names correctly when doing the Driver’s license as you have to do them again if you are incorrect. Great pattern!

As an update to making this purse ..
My niece and her family lost all the contents of their home in hurricane Harvey. I happened to be there in the area since I am now officially a grandma of a beautiful baby girl that was born the day before Harvey hit in Houston!! Anyways, my great niece lost all her toys, but lo and behold her purse was at her grandmother’s home and she was thrilled! I got a picture of her holding her purse as this was one of the only toys that was saved! After a year, she still loves and plays with it often! Thanks so much for the beautiful designs!!
