Linda, I was very happy with the service and the way my first crazy quilt turned out. I was very hesitant to start and you answered all my questions with patience and helpful answers. I’ve started on the Christmas crazy quilt for my mother and I know she will be very happy with it, I have it only halfway done, but it won’t take me long now that I know more of what I’m doing, thanks to you! Happy Holidays!! Quilt lovin hugs, Augie

I am just putting my quilt (Series 1) together and using a rather thin sashing with blocks at each junction. The blocks are all different colors of tone-on-tone. Then I plan to stitch in the ditch around each block. Hope Linda finds that acceptable!!

I just finished the Christmas Crazy Quilt using 5″ blocks because the largest hoop on my Bernina Deco is 5″x7″. I loved watching the quilt grow as I completed each of the 20 blocks. I used unbleached muslin as the foundation backed by light tear away stabilizer and it worked like a charm. Next – I start on Set 2 Crazy Quilt and then Crazy Flowers. I’m hooked.

I bought the crazt quilt blocks series 1 sets 1 to 5 and 2 sets from series 2 from Molly Mine at secretsof.com. It stitched out beautifully. I made a cushion out of 16 blocks and would now like to make a quilt out of it, but do not know how to go about it. Does anybody have any advice?

If you can emb these block and make a pillow — you can surely make a quilt. I would suggest you just omit the satin frame around the blocks — when done embroidering trim with a rotary ruler or scissors leaving 1/4 inch seam allowance. Iron the seams pressing to one direction and alternating one way then the other — yo don’t open seams like clothing. To set the block apart once you start putting them together I’d add lattice say 2-3 inches, I’d probably go with 3 inches once seams are added the lattice will only be 2 1/2 inch strips. Add lattice top, bottom, side side, — so the strips on the side will need to be longer than the block to include the length including the size of the lattice strips twice. Be sure to take your time and line up the squares perfectly — if you make a mistake it will be there forever. Feel free to ask me any questions or find me on FB under the name of Lindy Dare

I PURCHASED ALL OF THE CRAZY QUILT SERIES AND THE PLAIN AND THEY ARE WONDERFUL, THE PLAIN CAN BE JUST AS WILD AS THE OTHERS WITH JUST THE CHANGE OF THREAD,I HAVE SAT AT MY MACHINES SIDE BY SIDE AND HAD A BLAST DOING EACH AND EVERY BLOCK IN THE COLLECTIONS. THE PLAIN TAKE ALOT LESS TIME BUT THE WHOLE GROUP WORK WELL TOGETHER AND ARE SO NICE, WITH CLEAN THREAD LINES, MINIMAL TRIM AND SO MUCH FUN. THIS AMATURE QUILTER SEES A CHANCE TO MAKE SOME VERY NICE MEMORY QUILTS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THANKS TO MOLLY AND MINE DESIGNS……..CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE. PERFECT, SONJA

I think I’m current now with all the Christmas Crazy Quilt designs. Nine blocks (8×8) is perfect for a 20″ square pillow front. I’m using red pseudo suade for the pillow backs. My VERY favorite people will get one of these shortly before Christmas. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun ! Keep the designs coming, Miss Molly !!
I need a rating for EXCELLENT !!

Dear Linda, I bought a bunch of your patterns for the crazy quilt blocks a few weeks ago. I have finished 14 blocks now, with the quilt edge, and I am sewing them onto warm and natural batting with stabilizer behind it. They are Wonderful!! I havent had any problems with any one of them. They sew out beautifully and they are so much fun to do. I am using cotton fabric scraps left over from my quilting. Its a great way to use up small pieces of my precious fabric. I wasnt sure how it would look, I always think of crazy quilting being on satins and velvets ect. But they are so pretty. I have used every kind of patterned and solid fabric that I have. What fun your blocks are to sew out. I have 28 of them already and am planning on buying more. I think I am going to have to purchase one or more of the Christmas ones also. Thanks so much for doing such a wonderful job on digitizing!

Linda,
I have purchased many designs from you over the years for Grandbaby quilts, brag books, and Christmas quilts. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to have used them all, but I LOVE the quality of the stitch-outs.
Your customer service is AWESOME too! Thanks sew much for your beautiful, top quality designs!
